ANOTHER VICTORY FOR VODAWORKERS

Vodafone, Vodacom's parent, has now recognised our sister union Connect in another region in the UK. Following the court ruling that gave Connect recognition in Operations North, and the victory in South Africa, Vodafone decided to voluntarily recognise Connect in Operations South.

As we celebrate another victory for the united voda-workers of the world, we also look onto the work that still remains to be done in South Africa.

First, we do not forget the comrades who are being singled out by the company to punish all of us for daring to demand our rights. We continue to demand that Vodacom allow our suspended comrades to come back from exile. If they are guilty of misconduct for demanding their rights, so is every one of us who picketed.

Second, we will not rest until 100% of employees at Vodacom are united with one voice.
